AWARDS: Sherry received first place in 2001 and 2002 at the
Douglas county Fair for pots thrown on a wheel. She has also
won first place in 2001 and 2002 for hand building with clay.
RECOGNITION: Sherry was 1 of 4 students chosen by Sumi
Von Dassow to have pots displayed at the Lakewood Cultural
Arts Center. Sumi writes for Pottery Making Magazine and teaches pottery.

Sherry regularly has pieces chosen to go into the Bicentennial Art Center's Display Case.
She has taken workshops with the following potters:
- International famous Paul Soldner and Peter Volkus at Anderson Ranch.
- Nationally famous Bob Smith
- Nationally famous Janie Skeer, she has art in the Smithsonian
- National known: John Neely, David Wright, Skeff Thomas, Michael Wisner, Sumi Von Dassow, Thomas Kerrigan
