Allan Carey is a self-taught painter of oils and acrylics. The subjects she enjoys
painting most are portraits of people and pets, old home places and landscapes.
Her inspirations come from the many beautiful scenes in her travels across the country.
She prefers using photographs to paint from because it allows her to paint at a relaxed pace
without worrying about the movement of the subject or the light.
Allan uses rich bright colors with smooth gentle strokes to create very realistic paintings.
